Biography

Debra A Lynch, Ph.D. is a Child Health Institute of NJ  (CHINJ) board member. She has served in this role since her election in October 2024.  Issues involving women and children have always been a passion of Dr. Lynch and CHINJ combines this interest with her other interest, research.

Dr Lynch has served on the Board of the Associate Alumnae of Douglass College (AADC) since 2009 and has been Vice President of Alumnae Relations from 2015 - 2019 and 2021 - 2025. She has served on and chaired many committees, most notably as Co-Chair of the AADC 100th Anniversary Committee.  She is currently Chair of the Search Committee for a new Executive Director.  For her commitment to the AADC Dr. Lynch has received numerous awards from the organization.  In 2012, she received the Alumnae Recognition award for alumnae who have shown exceptional and sustained service to the AADC.  In 2017, she received the Margaret T. Corwin Award which is bestowed upon an alumna for outstanding service and commitment to the AADC through continued interest in and active support of its mission. This is the Association’s highest award for service. Then, in 2024, Dr Lynch received the AADC Society of Excellence award, which recognizes alumnae who have brought honor to the AADC by their distinctive achievements in professional and community endeavors and their service to the AADC.

 

Professional

Dr Lynch also served on the Rutgers University Board of Trustees from 2012 to 2024.  She served on numerous committees through the years, chairing the Diversity, Equity, and Outreach Committee and the Nominating Committee.

At Mason Gross School of Arts, Dr. Lynch was Co-Chair of the Partnership Development Council from 2020 to 2022.  Its goal was to connect people who may have an interest in investing in the arts.
