Biography

Scott Ainsworth Blow, JD/MBA, has been elected to the Board of the Child Health Institute of NJ (CHINJ), and he brings a wealth of experience from his extensive background in nonprofit leadership, business, and community development. His current board roles include serving on the Rutgers Business School Board of Advisors. Previous board roles include The Wardlaw Hartridge K-12 Independent School and Central Jersey CDC, a regional community development corporation. Additionally, Scott has been an active coach and advisor for New Jersey Orators, Inc., a statewide organization dedicated to teaching children the art of public speaking. He has also contributed as a mentor in Rutgers Business School’s Business Model to Launch course, guiding Master’s Engineering and MBA students through the process of commercializing technology.

As a new board member, he will help us examine CHINJ’s translation research activities and consider who they might best compliment and grow the others translation research work done within Rutgers Health. Additionally, Scott recognizes that many principal investigators may be interested in launching companies—an area where he has both interest and experience. His deep connections to several urban New Jersey communities align with the growing focus on healthcare equity at CHI, such as the PopQuIS initiative.
